Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades for her A-Levels. In a discussion about her appearance on Emmerdale, Coleman admitted she was regretting having not gone to University. Coleman appeared on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she participated in while at the school. The show also received a positive reception. The show was praised for her outstanding performance. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman received two nominations for awards in 2007. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. Coleman was awarded nominations in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and Best Dramatic performance in the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press event on 21st March 2012 that Coleman was to be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her for the role because she is the most successful with Smith and spoke more quickly than the actor. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her involvement in the field of film since 1987. She is however, more known for TV projects instead of films. Eva has appeared in a number of television parts, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children' and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. The first role she played on TV earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations, and allowed her to develop her love for music. Eva is not only an actress, she is also a businesswoman and philanthropist. She has been married three times, and has a daughter along with her husband.
