Chuck Taylor wrote that Hart was "the epitome for natural females" in the October 2 issue of Billboard magazine. She's "bawdy hilarious, funny, chatty and free-spirited with her choice to spiced words. But that's not much compared to her onstage presence that is where the tall, graceful singer/songwriter walks around and blasts out songs with the ferocity of Mick Jagger .... At other times, she takes her place on the piano or in the center of the stage, sitting without pretense, legs straddled over the sides of the chair, uttering a scream that's so delicate and hurt that you're left wondering whether she's about to break down, or in the event that you do. Hart had similar reactions to the time she first took to the stage at amateur contests as an teen.
